Barrie Will “Glow” A Little Brighter This Christmas Season

The biggest indoor Christmas festival in Barrie will be opening its doors November 24, 2018 – January 6, 2019.

Originating in Langley, BC in 2017, Darvonda Nurseries turned its greenhouses into the ultimate indoor winter wonderland and experienced warm reviews and sold out days. Now Glow is spreading the joy across the country. So get ready Barrie, Ontario, we’re ready to share the warmth of the season with you!

Hosted inside Bradford Garden Centre, you’ll delight in everything you love about the holiday season, like a Holly Jolly Tree Lot where you can pick your own Christmas tree, seasonal goodies and a Christmas market — but you don’t have to worry about chilling winds or soggy mittens. You’ll stay toasty as you leisurely stroll through this 100,000 square foot indoor Christmas festival.

Explore the Christmas light gardens and “Glow Around the World”. Guests will follow Santa on his annual journey, making stops in France, UK, India, China, Mexico and Holland. Get your passport stamped in each country, and earn a special surprise from Santa.

Christmas Glow will have silver bells ringing with two of the most iconic symbols of the holiday season: Jolly Saint Nick and lively music. Join Santa on his daily visit, and sit on his knee to whisper your Christmas wishes in his ear. Live entertainment from local musicians and choirs will have you rockin’ around the Christmas tree and singing fa-la-la-la-la!

Brilliantly decorated with nearly a million dazzling lights there are festive activities and interactive features for everyone to enjoy. The young and young at heart will love the giant LED swings that swoop like a snowflake and change red and green each time you give them a love tap. The tots can create their own magical adventure inside the gigantic castle playground, complete with seven slides, rope bridges and more.

We ‘ho-ho-hope’ to fill rumbling tummies with seasonal treats to satisfy any salty or sweet craving. Christmas Glow will have delicious options from local food trucks and a licensed bar for some adult beverages. This Christmas festival will be stuffed with all the trimmings!
