Share the Glow Contest
Timing: The Contest Period begins at 3 PM Pacific Time on Thursday, November 21 and ends at 3 PM Pacific Time on Friday, January 17 (“Contest Period”). The administrator’s clock is the official timekeeping device of the Contest.
Eligibility: The #ShareTheGlow Contest (“Contest”) is open only to persons who are legal residents of Canada (except Quebec) who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. The contest may only be entered from and in eligible jurisdictions. No purchase is necessary.
Photos shared as part of the Contest must be the property of the Entrant. The Entrant must have full permissions to publish the photo from any people featured in the Contest Entry.
Contest Entities, prize providers, and their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies, employees, agents, and suppliers, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee, are not eligible to participate.
How to enter: Post a photo or video from your visit to Christmas Glow on your personal social media account on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, with the hashtag #ShareTheGlow. The social media post must be ‘public’, so it is searchable and can be viewed by the Contest Entities (“Contest Entry”).
All Contest Entries become the property of Glow Gardens and may be used to execute the contest and for future marketing purposes including social media, advertisements and other promotional materials.
Prize: One (1) Contest Prize consisting of a trip for four (4) people to attend Christmas Glow in 2020. The location is restricted to cities Glow operates in North America only.
Trip includes:
- Round trip flights for (4) four. All seats will be coach/economy. Flights must originate from inside Canada.
- Four (4) tickets to attend Glow.
- Four (4) souvenir Glow cups
- Two (2) nights accommodation in the destination city. The selection of hotel is solely within Contest Entities’ discretion.
- $200 “Glow Bucks” to spend at the event
Exact prize value will vary according to flight and hotel costs. Estimated retail value: $6,000 CAD. Grand Prize must be redeemed before December 15, 2020. Winner must indicate their desired travel dates 4 weeks in advance of departure. Final travel dates may be subject to flight or accommodation availability.
All prizes must be accepted as awarded. No ticket or date substitutions. Prizes may not be refunded or redeemed for cash. The resale of the prize is prohibited. Any difference between stated estimated retail value and the actual value of the prize will not be awarded.
Winners: The Contest Prize winner will be selected by a random draw of all entries received by January 17, 2020. Odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received during the contest period. The prize will be selected randomly based on eligible entries. If the selected winner cannot be contacted by January 22 following the draw another winner will be selected until such time as a winner is contacted or there are no more eligible entries, whichever comes first.
Entrants will be contacted via their social media account to verify the winner. The Contest Entities will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact a selected winner. Winner and guest must abide by all venue policies. All other expenses not specifically mentioned herein are solely the winner’s responsibility. The Prize Winner will be required to provide a credit card to the hotel to cover incidentals that are not included in the prize package. If the winner is eighteen (18) but deemed a minor in his/her state or province of residence, the travel guest must be winner’s parent or legal guardian. A minor may accompany winner as a travel guest only if the winner is the minor’s parent or legal guardian. Minors must be accompanied at all times (including, but not limited to, hotel stay and all prize-related events) by minor’s parent or legal guardian. Before prize can be claimed, winner and travel guests must sign and return a declaration and release form confirming compliance with the Contest rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Contest Entities, their affiliated and related companies, advertising and Contestal agencies, and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns from any liability in connection with the prize or this Contest. The duly completed declaration and release forms must be returned within the time period specified on the declaration and release forms or the prize will be forfeited. Winner and guest are solely responsible for any necessary identification and/or travel documents) required for travel. Winner understands that there are inherent risks involved in travel and that these risks may be present before, during and after the trip. Contest Entities reserve the right to not award the Grand Prize to, or to revoke full or partial prize from, any winner or winner’s guest who Contest Entities and/or venue personnel deem may, in their sole discretion, be intoxicated, be a safety risk, have violated any venue policy or law, and/or may bring Contest Entities into disrepute.
The decisions of the Contest Entities will be final and binding on all entrants. The terms of this Contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein. The Contest Entities shall not bear any liability for (a) Contest entries which are lost, stolen, delayed, destroyed, or illegible, incomplete or otherwise improperly completed, (b) the loss, theft or misuse of the Grand Prize or any portion thereof, or (c) any property damage, personal injury or misfortune in any way attributable to this Contest or the Grand Prize. Personal information provided by entrants will be used to administer the Contest, and will not be used for any other reason. However, by entering, each entrant grants the Contest Entities the right to use his or her name and/or likeness, without further compensation or notice, in any advertising or publicity if declared the winner.
The Contest Entities reserve the right to terminate or amend this Contest at any time and in any way, without prior notice. The Contest Entities shall not be held responsible for: (a) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by the entrant or by any of the equipment associated with or used in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest; (b) any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or system failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or (c) any problems, errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including but not limited to, any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of the entrant’s participation in the Contest.
